This policy applies to cookies and similar technologies used by websites, applications, and related online services operated by Brain-Shot Academy AG. It should be read with our Privacy Notice and Cookie Inventory.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and scripts that store or access information on a device. In this policy, “cookies” includes those technologies unless a distinction is necessary.
2. Purposes
We use cookies for the following purposes.
Strictly necessary
These technologies are used only where necessary to transmit communications, provide a service or function you request, keep an account or transaction secure, or remember your privacy choices. Depending on the service, this may include authentication, short-lived session continuity, checkout, load balancing, fraud prevention, or consent records.
We use a technology without consent under the strictly-necessary exemption only where the applicable legal requirements for that exemption are met.
Preferences and functionality
These technologies remember choices or provide functionality that is not essential to the basic service. Where the law requires consent, they are used only after you choose them.
Analytics and measurement
These technologies measure how a website, service, or campaign is used. Optional analytics are used only after consent where required by law.
Marketing
These technologies support campaign attribution, advertising measurement, or personalised marketing. They are used only after consent where required by law.
3. Your choices
Where a service uses optional cookies, it provides a way to accept or reject them before they are used where prior consent is required. You can later change or withdraw your choice through the cookie settings made available on that service. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent access to core functions.
Browser or device settings can also delete or block cookies, but doing so may affect requested functions, such as remaining signed in or keeping a basket during the current visit.
4. Service and third-party differences
Different Brain-Shot Academy services use different technologies. The Cookie Inventory states the current purposes, durations, categories, and whether a third party may access a listed technology.
Some requested features, such as payment, video, account protection, or embedded content, may involve a third-party service. Where that service stores or accesses information on your device, the relevant entry or service-level information explains the purpose and third-party involvement. A third party may also process data under its own privacy notice where it acts as an independent controller.
We do not list technologies merely because a provider could set them. The inventory is intended to describe technologies in the current deployment and is updated when that deployment changes.
5. Retention
Some technologies expire when the browser session ends. Others remain for the period stated in the Cookie Inventory or until you delete them. We configure retention according to the purpose and shorten or remove it when the technology is no longer needed.
Withdrawing consent prevents future optional storage or access and removes optional cookies where the relevant service can do so. It does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
